Olivier Grenier

Ph. D. Student in Science & Technology Studies at UQÀM

Biography

Olivier decided to study philosophy to complement his knowledge as a science and technology teacher during the fall of 2014. He has since developed an interest in epistemology and philosophy of science. On the one hand, he is curious about the relationship between people and knowledge in our modern societies. Since information is generated at a high rate nowadays, it appears important to know more about the way people justify their beliefs. On the other hand, Olivier is interested by the contemporary debates in philosophy of science, especially the one about the use of laws and generalizations in social sciences.
