Job Offer: Research Assistant on the Ethical Issues of Digital Humanitarianism

A research team from Université de Sherbrooke and Université de Montréal, in partnership with HumanITas Solutions, is developing a research project on the ethical issues raised by the development and use of technological tools in the context of humanitarian emergencies. This team is looking for a research assistant for the summer of 2017 (May to August). The job description includes the following tasks:
- Help the team prepare a first worshop on this topic
- Attend the workshop in early June
- Produce a literature review on the basis of the issues raised during the workshop
- Coauthor an exploratory article on the theme of the project
The ideal candidate would meet the following conditions:
- Have, or be in the process of obtaining, a Master’s degree
- Have research experience in philosophy and experience in the world of humanitarian organizations
- Have a great level of autonomy in pursuing her or his work
Job location:
- The ideal candidate should be able to travel between Montreal, Longueuil and Sherbrooke (travel costs will be reimbursed)
- Her or his office will be at the Longueuil Campus of the Université de Sherbrooke (South Shore of Montreal)
