Summary

The research intends to describe and analyze the socio-technical and political dimensions of data-monitoring, ie the massive, continuous and automatic collection of data produced by users in cyberspace, as it is conducted in the commercial sphere by the Google company and in the security sphere by the National Security Agency (NSA). The aim is to expose some of the structures and dynamics of the political economy of personal data as it exists in the United States.
